Comments and stories about this dream

  1. I was driving and I could see the end of the road up ahead. I realized there was water and there was no other way to go except back the way I came. I had this frustrating feeling that I had gone the wrong way, so I turned to go what I thought was the “right” way. As I turned to go back, I looked over my shoulder and saw a drawbridge lifting up. When it got all the way up, it broke off and came tumbling down at my feet. I’ve gotten some interpretations of this dream, but I would like to know what you think. I know a drawbridge prevents passage when it’s up, but it does come down eventually for the cars to pass.

  2. To find right answer to your dream, I need to look into meaning of car and road (end road) in dreams and combine it with drawbridge. When I have answer to your dream, I will post it here.

    But looking only from drawbridge perspective:
    1. You may have to persist some obstacles in journey.

    If we combine two meanings – Drawbridge and Desert road (http://www.dreamomania.com/dreamdictionary/buildings/desert-road_meaning/) – then we have this:
    1. You may have to persist some obstacles in journey. But you will reach your goals;
    2. Someone, who trust in you, will help to reach your needs.

  3. Basically, I’ve had the same dream about 50 times. It’s night time and I’m just about to go over the drawbridge in my car, but then it starts to raise up and I can’t get off of it because I’m at the very edge of it. My car has never fallen into the water in my dream, but I get a sense of panic. Also, I’ve noticed that all of the bridges are very large. Can someone give me an interpretation of these dreams? Thank you.

    Hi Tracy,

    Your not really having a dream. What you are having is called a Vision of a Spiritual Journey and what you will call a Night Terror. It’s like your stuck between the Natural World and the Supernatural World. Its pretty frieightening huh?
